Patchwork Party 2008: Summer Edition

Marti Michell has designed 12 fabulous blocks for 12 fabulous shops! Each shop has designed a quilt using the 12 blocks.

Here's a preview of our block, Little Trip; our quilt, Geese on the Prairie and out bedroom accessories.

We have kitted up the pattern and fabric for the following items for you:

Little Trip - This is Anna Lena's Patchwork Party block. This block was designed for us by Marti Michell and uses her templates. Block kit $7.00 (includes shipping)

Geese on the Prairie - This is how we finished out Patchwork Party quilt. We added a triple sashing and used a quick method to make lots of flying geese for the borders. The finished quilt is 80" x 96" and would fit nicely on a queen sized bed. We added pillow shams, toss pillows and a bed skirt. Photographed here on a double bed in my guest room.

Finishing Kit with red or blue border - Turn your twelve Patchwork Party blocks into a quilt just like our Geese on the Priaire. When you order our finishing kit you get everything you need including a full colored pattern, all the fabric for the top and the binding. We will ship you the kit with the blue border unless you request red border fabric. Finishing Kit $ 79.99.

Backing Kit - Complete your quilt with this coordinating fabric from the Prairie Paisley fabric line. We've chosen this pretty, large scale paisley, but if you'd like another fabric from the line, please phone the shop and we can make a substitution for you. Backing Kit $57.99.

Special Backing
On my quilt, I used a Moda Lewis and Clark fabric for the back. This fabric is no longer available from Moda, but I still have some in stock. We are offering it to you at a special price while supplies last. Toss Pillows Kit - With this kit you get a pattern and enough fabric to make three toss pillows for your bedroom ensemble. The easy lapped back means no hand sewing and easy on and off. Toss Pillows Kit $12.99

Pillow Shams Kit - Shams add panache to your bedroom ensemble. Here's a great pattern for pillow shams. This pattern also has a lapp0ed back and slips easily over your pillows. Kit includes pattern and fabric for two shams. Pillow Shams Kit $24.99.

Pillow Cases Kit - Why not make pillow cases to match your quilt? They are easy to make and give your bed a finished look. Pattern and fabric for two pillow cases $19.99. Specify red or blue cuff.

Dust Ruffle Kit - To really finish off your bedroom ensemble you'll want to make a coordinating dust ruffle. Lots of gathered fabric goes into making this dust ruffle but the results are well worth it. We've chosen the neutral paisley and included an easy to use pattern. Dust Ruffle Kit $79.99. Setting Pattern
If you have 12 blocks from another project that you need to set together, consider our Geese on the Prairie pattern. It will work with any 12" squares with beautiful results. Pattern only $10.00.

Perfect Patchwork Templates - The patterns for the Patchwork Party blocks include templates you can trace, but I highly recommend using Marti Michell's Perfect Patchwork templates. They make piecing these and other blocks so easy and precise.

Marti Michell Templates - Set A
The seven pieces in this template set are based on a 3" square plus component shapes. The templates are made of 1/8 inch thick acrylic that has been lazer cut for accuracy. A 1/4 inch seam allowance and "smart" corners are included for perfect alignment. Set A and B make all the blocks in the companion book Encyclopedia of Patchwork Blocks, Volume 1. This Set (Set A), together with Set C, can be used to make all of the blocks in Patchwork Party - Summer 2008. $15.99

Marti Michell Templates - Set C
